You can increase your fundraising total significantly by having your donors apply for matching gifts!

Many companies have matching employer gifts and volunteer incentive programs to maximize their financial contributions to non-profit organizations. This means they will match their employees’ donations to non-profits, increasing your fundraising total and bringing us closer to a world free of MS.

Check for eligibility by looking up your employer at http://www.nationalmssociety.org/employermatch.

Be sure to check with your personnel or HR Department as well as the list above is not extensive! And, to request additional event information for your HR Department, company, etc., contact njmclimbnj@nmss.org. 

Go the extra step! Oftentimes, donors can match their donation through their company as well! Feel free to share this information with everyone who makes a donation to your fundraising efforts. Include a matching gift reminder to your donor’s via a short thank you note.

How it works:

• Send an email to your donors explaining the benefits of Matching Employer Gifts and let them know they can access an employer lookup here.
• Follow the procedure outlined by your company’s matching gift program

Our staff will send confirmation to the donor’s company. Upon receipt of the matching employer gifts check, we will credit your Climb to the Top fundraising efforts with the amount. While this process varies by each company’s processing time, if we have received the matching gift paperwork by the Wednesday prior to event day, we will include the pending donation in your Climb to the Top fundraising total.
